3 Places To Find FREE Images that POP

When you are trying to find images for your website or blog, the problem can be finding images that look clear or that are free to use. There are still way too many people on the internet using pictures for their blog or website that they don't have permission to use.

The 3 sources are:

1) Google Images

2) Pexels

3) Pixabay

Google Images actually hasn't helped slow down people stealing images. In some ways it may have made it worse since it is easier to search for pictures now. If someone wants an image they type in the category, then go to Google Images, copy the one they want & put in their blog. You can do this as long as you go to "TOOLS" & click on "USAGE RIGHTS" & change it to "Labeled for Reuse with Modification" or "Labeled for Reuse."

GOOGLE IMAGES IS A GREAT RESOURCE FOR IMAGES BUT, UNFORTUNATELY, MOST PEOPLE DON'T DO THAT IMPORTANT STEP BEFORE SELECTING AN IMAGE.

However, there are other options: pexels.comand pixabay.com. They have beautiful pictures and a good search function. They also have video versions if you want to add short videos as backgrounds to your websites.

!!A word of caution!! The images found on both of these sites are so nice, they may be too large to put on your website or blog as-is. Maybe having one or two on your site won't hurt, but if you have too many of them then your site's load time will be affected and it could hurt traffic. Make sure you compress any downloaded image before uploading it to your site!
